Pumpkin Carving

So we finally carved our pumpkins last night. Perry's schedule has been kind of crazy the past few weeks and last night was our first free night as a family in a long time. The kids were excited. Abby loved reaching into the pumpkin and pulling out all the guts. She is never afraid to dig in and get her hands dirty. (just like her dad :) She was in up to her elbows and loving every minute of it. Andrew on the other hand had just woken up from a nap and was a little bit more skeptical (grouchy) of touching all the insides. Abby had very specific instructions as to how she wanted her pumpkin carved, so Perry had her draw a picture of what she wanted it to look like and he did his very best to make it look right. She was pleased with how it turned out. Andrew said he wanted a mean and scary pumpkin so that's what he got. It was a fun night.

This is Andrew's best mean face.

This is Abby's drawing of how she wanted her pumpkin.

I hadn't thought of having Ella draw what she wanted her pumpkin to look like, that's a good idea! The pumpkins look great and so do your costumes. Happy Halloween!
