Some of you may have heard that we are going to be moving to Georgia next summer. So far this is true. I have neglected to make an official announcement to all our friends and family, because July is so far away and things can always change. We have already previously announced that we were moving to Germany a couple years ago and then Perry decided to re-class (change his job) and those orders were deleted. Then we were told we would be going to Hawaii next spring. We were so excited about that prospect that we announced it to everyone and now that has changed. After finding out this past spring that we would be here for at least three more years, we had decided to build a house up in Pennsylvania. This we tried to keep quiet, but word quickly spread. The day were were supposed to sign the contract to start building the house, we just didn't feel good about it and at the last minute we backed out. So you can understand why I am
reluctant to shout it from the rooftops this time around. It has become sort of a joke in our ward. Now when we tell anyone we are moving, they just say, "yeah right, you guys will be here forever!" But for now this is the plan. We are supposed to report to Fort Gordon, Georgia by July 10th (that is in Augusta, GA.) We have really loved it here, especially our ward, but we are looking forward to a change. This has been our only duty station so far in the military and by the time we move, we will have lived here for five years! I know to most of the civilian world, that is not that much time in one place, but it is in the military. So we will just have to see what happens. I am not holding my breath for this one, but that's what keeps life exciting; not always knowing what lies ahead.

ha ha wow.... i never heard of ANY of those times you were going to move. no one tells me anything! im so out of the loop. but Georgia sounds sweet!
How exciting! I was really hoping to eventually come visit you in Baltimore, but hey, Georgia is closer! Any chance you will come back to Texas? Keep us posted!
We would LOVE to move to Texas, maybe someday it will happen.
I am hoping that your orders for Georgia will all pan out this time, for your Sake. I know how frustrating it is when the military messes with your life and can't make up their mind. And take it so lightly. I know you are really up for a change. I will keep my fingers crossed for you to nail this one. You should be able to buy a house there!
How did I not know about the whole Hawaii thing? If I had known, I would have prayed that you guys could move there. That way we could justify a trip to Hawaii.
Georgia sounds good though. Perhaps the kids will pick up the awesome southern accent. Seriously though, Duane and I would definitely visit if you ended up moving to Georgia.
Wow. 5 years in one spot. I know you'll love the move. Hopefully this one works out for you. Don't worry. Hawaii seems like it would be really great but it's not. The cost is high. Food, gas, entertainment, flights, long time between families, pest control guys. But the photos are good. I'd rather be back East anyways. Enjoy seasons for me. Congrats.
Hey, 5 years in one place sounds great to me! Maybe I should have Stephen sign with the Army so we can stay in one place for longer than two years.(or atleast have an excuse for all the moves) I swear,it's like being on a mission but with no companion changes and let me tell you, sometimes, I would consider... (jk?) Actually, we were in Denver for 5 years so I do know how that feels, if I can clear the cobwebs in my mind, I think I can recall. But I guess I really should do the 'good mormon girl thing' and say, "we have loved living in Illinois, Ohio and now Indiana and how we have 'grown'" and all that jazz. No, really we have and it has been nice to see how the "other half" (of the u.s.) live. I'm glad that my children have had the chance to see the country especially on those driving marathons that we go on every summer to California. And that not all non-members will carjack you at the drop of the hat, just because. Ok, I think that I'm done embarrassing myself in public. Usually, I only do that on the Myfamily site and that's different because you all are stuck with me. Well, off to refill my meds!(jk, I filled them last week)
