In Memory of My Grandpa Chuck

My paternal Grandfather passed away early Saturday morning from a brain hemorrhage. He had been battling Leukemia and fought to the very end. Though his life was cut shorter than we expected, I have so many wonderful memories of him that I will cherish forever. I will miss his great big smile, his bright blue eyes, his silver hair, his laugh, and his bear hugs. He taught me how to water ski and snow ski and always encouraged and supported me throughout my life in accomplishing my goals. He was a sports enthusiast and a health nut and I learned so much from him. I Love you Grandpa! My thoughts are with all of my family today as they gather together for his memorial service. I wish I could be there.

Grandpa's are great aren't they! I am so sorry for your loss. I know how badly it hurts to loose a grandfather and be unable to go.

Sorry about your loss Sarah. He sounds like an awesome Grandpa! I hate how the older we get the more often we need to deal with death. I'm grateful for the plan of salvation.

You seem so brave to write about him, but we all know that we have written posts through tears. I'm sorry you can't be there for his funeral. That's always the hardest part. Hope Perry can come home soon to comfort you.

Sorry to hear your sad news. It really stinks to be so far away at times like that. Your Grandpa did have a big smile and I can tell he was a fun part of your life. Thinking of you, and hoping your doing ok!!

Ok so I'm really behind on reading all these tributes - they are really wonderful and you girls have found the greatest pictures of him to post! I miss him terribly - we talked almost every day and that has left a huge void in my every day life. Can't wait to see all of you this summer!
