So I have Abby and Andrew both in soccer right now. Life is crazy. My life is crazy and the worst part is, I had to add to the craziness and volunteer to be the soccer mom for Abby's team. It wasn't something I had intended on doing. It was more like all the parents were standing around and the coach was talking to us and she said, "would anyone like to volunteer to be our team soccer mom?" Silence. Everyone was just looking at each other and no one would speak up because no on wanted to do it. It reminded me of when you are at a church function or meeting and they ask for a volunteer to say a prayer and there's just that uncomfortable silence until someone finally volunteers. Anyway, so the coach was waiting and looking around at us all and I couldn't stand it so I said I would do it. Needless to say, it has been a lot more work than I thought. Normally I would happily do it, but with Perry away, it has been challenging. How do single parents do it??
Andrew's team is more parent guided, so I have to be running the drills with him while Avery sits in her stroller on the sidelines. Luckily I have some great friends who are always helping me out. Andrew is getting better each week and able to pay attention longer. The first week he only lasted 15 minutes of practice and then he was done. This week he made it through the whole hour. He is so darn cute, but I can't wait for Perry to take over this job. :)
Abby is our little athletic girl. She is loving soccer and is surprisingly aggressive. Her first game of the season is Saturday morning (tomorrow), so we'll see how it goes. At least they are having fun. I only have pics of Andrew's practice, but I will post some of Abby's game this week.

Look at that kick!

Sarah, I totally feel your pain. Welcome to my life.
Sarah, I am already thinking about how to politely say, "If you wanted to do things your way, you should have volunteered." Of course, with a giant fake smile.
Nice follow through! Did he actually connect or is the ball still rolling? :) Way to go bro!
What does the "soccer mom" have to do? I didn't realize it was an actual volunteer thing. Did they give you the sticker?
Sarah, they are too cute! You know Abby is just like you I'm not surprised that she's aggressive on the field! I am proud of you for still being alive after being alone with three kids for so long.
