Now that we have three kids, it has become increasingly difficult to plan something special for just the two of us on Valentine's Day or any other day for that matter. We already had a group date night and a babysitter planned for Friday night (tonight), so we decided to make our Valentine's Day a family affair. It was fun! I saw Rachel Ray making this yummy Italian Surf & Turf on her show on Wednesday and decided to make it. The presentation wasn't the same, but it tasted great! We knew the kids wouldn't be interested in it, since they rarely want to eat what we are eating, so we got them their own special dinner from Taco Bell of all places. Whatever works for them! :) They were happy. After dinner we all watched An American Tale together. What a cute little show. I hadn't watched it since I was little. The kids really liked it. It was a fun night and who says Valentine's Day has to be about our significant other?? As long as we are with the ones we love!
Hope everyone had a great day!

YUM-O! That looks so good. I agree. Valentine's day doesn't have to be all about the sig. other. We had a fun time with the kids last night. Mel and I went out for a fancy-schmansy dinner a couple of weeks ago and that was our 'valentine's day'.
Cute! Your fam is so adorable. That Surf & Turf" looks delish. We will have to make it when Kate & I come out!
Sarah, that dinner looks delicious! Sounds like a fun night...
