So I have to brag for just a moment about my wonderful husband Perry. Not only does he cook, clean, fix anything that needs to be fixed, but yes.... he can sew! Here he is hemming some curtains that we bought over a year ago and never put up because I haven't gotten around to hemming them. I am very intimidated by my sewing machine and I have only used it a handful of times to sew my scrapbook pages. I've never actually sewn material with it! I know it is sad but true. Well, when Perry decides he wants to do a project, there is no stopping him. He is very motivated and determined to finish it. Unlike me who has many unfinished projects around the house. :) But I love that quality about him. He is always trying to make things better and more efficient for not only our family but in every aspect of his life. I am thankful I have a husband who helps me so much and is so motivated. He is on assignment in D.C. this week so we are really missing him. We miss you and love you Perry!
I was trying a tilt angle w/my new camera :)

You guys sound just like Josh and I. Just a month ago he was using my sewing machine that I rarely use because I don't really know how to to hem a pair of his jeans. I was so impressed. Isn't it such a turn on to see guys helping out and taking care of things that most men don't do. I love that.
go Perry! go Perry! I have curtains that need hemming too... I'll be right over! :)
I sew too! Most guys don't realize it, but real men SEW!! Anissa was very surprised when she saw me sewing patches on Chris's scout uniform. She stood there gawking almost dumbfounded. I think we needed smelling salts to revive her.
What a guy! I remember when he sewed your couch skirt too! Do you know that Joe straightens my hair for me on special occasions? Don't tell him I told you :)
Of course he sews! I love the pic with the measuring tape around his neck...he looks like a real pro!
Man, I love Perry. It is great that he harbors that A.D.D. energy into productive things. I know, don't you HATE the thought of putting thread on the stupid bobbin! The curtains look great and I love how artistic you are getting with your photography! You got a new camera?? What kind?
Wow, Perry is awesome. I would love it if Duane would do some sewing. If Duane helped like that, I would want to make the girls easter dresses or the baby's blessing dress.
I think it's great that he sews, but even greater that he let you take pictures AND blog them. That's cool.
Roy has sewn more quilts than I have! I love guys that can sew. Perry, my curtains could use a hem too if you are up to it.
That's awesome! He's a man of many talents...but can he make cheese? ;)
