Memorial Day Weekend

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend this year. We were supposed to drive down to Georgia and look for houses this past weekend, but our plans changed. For right now, we have decided not to buy a house in Georgia because we are only going to be there for just under two years. We had originally thought that we may be there for three plus years, but as luck would have it, Perry only had to re-enlist for two years instead of three. As much as I would love to have a brand new house of my own, the hassle of buying and then trying to re-sell just 2 years later has deterred me. I guess we will be sticking it out for a couple more years and renting a house. We will however, hopefully be making a trip down to Georgia within the next couple of weeks to find a house to rent. I can totally see our minds changing once we actually see what we can buy down there for a fraction of what it costs here in Maryland. We'll have to see.
Friday we took the kids to a little carnival that was here for the weekend. The kids had a blast. The rides were fun for them and made both Perry and I realize how old we are getting as we both got motion sickness. Fun stuff. Monday we hosted a little BBQ at our house with a bunch of friends. The weather was awesome, the food was delicious, and the kids were occupied with the sprinklers, pool, bubbles and sidewalk paints. Sadly, we did not get any pictures of them playing, but it was a fun night. We are trying to do as much with friends as possible as our time here is winding down quickly.

Little Avery on the Carousel

I love this picture of Andrew (minus the shadow over his face) He was in roller coaster heaven.

I'm jealous of you guys. There is a carnival here right now but I'm afraid of the meth booth right next to the teacups ride.

Looks like fun, you guys! I love your kiddos' faces in that last one. Are you guys going to be around here at all this summer? If so, we should get together!

I didn't take any pictures either, and I had my camera! I really need to be better about photo ops. It was so much fun though, thanks for hosting!

I haven't been online to visit blogs in like a month! You guys are so lucky to have had such a fun trip in NYC! Your kids are so cute, I love all the pics of you guys!

The kids are getting so big!! I can see so much of you and Perry in them and they are so beautiful. I wish so much that I could be a more present relative in their lives. I'm a great aunt and hardly get to see any of my grand nieces and nephews!!! Loved the pics from New York too - I saw Wicked here in Chicago and loved it as well. I'm working on trying to make it for Laura's wedding but don't know if I'll be able to. I really want to though!! Kiss those kids for me!

So, if you're only in Georgia for two years, does that mean Utah is your next stop???? I keep remaining hopeful because I MISS you! I saw you were here and I too (like Lisa) was sad that I missed you! Your kids are so cute and I love the picture of Andrew on the roller coaster - what joy! Annie

These pictures are AWESOME! Especially the merry-go-round. Those are SO hard to get pictures of. Your kids are practically grown ups--I can't believe how big Abby is!

Awesome!! I served for 6 weeks in Hephzibah. The military base was in my area. Are you going to live on or off base? I loved that area it's so pretty. It does get crowded in June when the golfers all come to town. But it's still a really pretty area and I really enjoyed it. Hot and Humid though. They do have a really fun Science museum that's really hands on that youf kids will enjoy. We did our service there. Anyway, I could go on and on. You'll enjoy it there.

Sarah, wow I am what the 19th person to comment? You guys must be well loved. I am a suckor for those carnivals. I think I remember one that was on Fort Meade and we saw you guys there before we really knew each other. You must like them too. Are you READY? Minus the checklist of things to do for a move you have got to be excited that July is NEXT MONTH! I am sure it is bitter sweet as you know your days of being a single mom are also drawing near. Wow, looks like you are trying to soak up all the fun you can before the move. Good luck!!

how fun! I had to show Ainsley the pictures because she misses her friends.

I'm glad you guys have backed off the idea of buying a house. It's such a bad time unless you will be somewhere for years.

Good luck with the move. I heard you've already been released. Lucky you!
