Birthdays * Road Trip * Easter

WARNING... this is long, but there are lots of photos :) Wow, this blog has officially turned into monthly updates. I am not a very good blogger, but the past six months of our lives have been so busy that this is all I have time for. This past week it was Spring Break so me and the kids drove up to Maryland for the week and hung out with old friends. Perry was staying in a hotel up there already so we came and crashed his little bachelor pad. He has it so dang easy :)

We celebrated Andrew's 4th Birthday and had a big birthday party for him with a bunch of our Ft. Meade buddies. It was so great to see everyone again. Thanks again everyone for coming and making Andrew's birthday so memorable.

Waiting to start the pinata. The batman cake turned out cool, but that frosting was pure evil. Just ask anyone who ate it. We had blue teeth and fingers for hours!

All the kids collecting their pinata loot. Andrew insisted on having Abby help him blow out his candles. He loves his sister so much.

Our visit was filled with all the usual activities. It was as if we had never left. We went to playgroups, luncheons, Burba Lake, Romp n' Stomp, Arundel Mills Mall and met up with lots of wonderful friends.

Easter Egg hunt at Burba Lake. We also got to see our good friends the Bays who live in Pennsylvania. It was so great to catch up with Steve and Linds. The kids had so much fun.

The kids had more ghetto fabulous fun riding bikes down the grassy hill at the Addington's.

They were barefoot and everything. We got to meet baby Naia for the first time. She is such a cutie, but definitely a mama's girl. :) Okay, not a great picture of me at all, but isn't Naika beautiful? The Addington's were so great and let us hang out at their house 24/7. They even watched our kids overnight so Perry and I could go out on a much needed date night. You guys are the best! We went to the Cheescake Factory. Yummy.

Naika also planned a girls night/birthday party for me on my last night. It was so much fun to hang out with all these crazy girls again. It was a riot. The coconut cake she made was delish. Three cheers for Naika! Shout out to Sara J. Wish you could have come to our birthday celebration again. We missed you. Thanks everyone for coming! Oh, and thanks for telling me that my green shirt is obviously too tight for me:) Oh, and it was green shirt night in case anyone is wondering. And, I gained five pounds while I was in town. Good times.

While we were in Maryland, my friend Tiff took our family pictures. She did a great job despite our uncooperative children. You can see some new ones of the kids on the right-hand column and here are a couple more that she took. She is awesome. Check out some of her work here.

We had a long drive home, but we got to stop in Virginia to see the Heaths. My friend Lucy just had a baby girl named Charlotte. She is beautiful. It was so great to catch up, eat lunch and let the kids play and take a break from the car. They even organized another Easter egg hunt. Thanks Lucy! We are so blessed with so many wonderful friends.

And last but not least, our Easter Sunday pictures. Hope ya'll had a good Easter.

You guys are a HAWT family. Seriously, I don't know what you are talking about with uncooperative children -- the pics look great!

Glad you had fun on your trip, but also glad you came home so we can hog you to ourselves back in Georgia.

P.S. The "problem" is not with a too-tight shirt -- it's that you have such ample bosoms, my dear;)

Sarah, I just got caught up on your blog. You have been busy! Where do you find the energy to run marathons, too?! And I'm drooling over the swing set. Is that the one that I've been eyeing at Costco? I hope you enjoy your new digs, and are all settled. You guys need to have a road trip to Texas sometime!

Happy late birthday as well! I'm sorry I missed the party, I was very much planning on it, but got really sick about an hour before and figured you would all appreciate me staying home.
